About the Log Cabin Museum

Museums and heritage sites are important in helping deepen our understanding of our communities, and are important threads

in our shared social fabric.

The Log Cabin Museum is the oldest purpose-built museum in British Columbia, still on its original site. The Museum is owned and operated by the Saanich Pioneer Society, a registered charity.

The Museum is open

Saturdays from 1-4pm.
View our various displays, and there's often

local knitters and spinners
crafting all sorts of items!
(We are closed most holiday weekends.)

Museum digital display

For the last #InternationalMuseumDay and #BCMuseumsWeek, we put together a digital display for those who want to visit at any time! Below you'll find a small sample of what you can find in the Log Cabin Museum.

Please visit us in-person on Saturdays from 1-4pm to view all that we have!

(Closed Saturdays on most long weekends)
