Museum digital display
Museums and heritage sites are important in helping deepen our understanding of our communities, and are important threads in our shared social fabric.
For #InternationalMuseumDay and #BCMuseumsWeek, we put together a digital display to give people an idea of what you can find in the Log Cabin Museum.
Please visit us in-person on Saturdays from 1-4pm to view all that we have! (Closed Satudays on most long weekends)
What's In Our Museum?
Toys, Games, & Pastimes
We have a collection of toys and games - jacks, cards, dominoes, tea sets, and more. Find your favourite in the toy cabinet.
The parlour was a place to gather the family round - to visit, to sing along. How would you spend your time here?
Doing a load of laundry was a load of work in pioneer times - nothing like the convenience that most of us enjoy today!
In The Kitchen - a visitor favourite!
One of our most popular, and well-visited displays.
Around The Farm
We have items large and small - farm implements, equipment, branding irons, and lots more. All reflective of the farming and agricultural history of the Saanich Peninsula.
Our Shared History
We were honoured to be gifted chips and shavings from the cedar log that Mungo Martin carved into the world's tallest totem!
